Harison recognised at 2014 Sweets & Snacks Middle East Awards

Harison Premium Chocolate has been named ‘Best Chocolate Product’ at the 2014 Sweets & Snacks Middle East (SSME) Awards. SSME is the satellite exhibition of ISM Cologne, hailed as the world’s largest trade fair for sweets and snacks. Jointly organised by Koelnmesse GmbH and the Dubai World Trade Centre, SSME – now in its eighth edition – took place in Dubai from 9-11 November. The awards, part of the 2014 SSME trade fair, recognises outstanding innovations and launches in four categories: snack, hard/soft candy, chocolate, and baked goods. The four best innovations in each category – selected and nominated by an expert jury – were announced at the Palm Garden, Dubai World Trade Centre on 9 November. Harison, through its exclusive travel retail distributor and marketing partner Sweet Garden Travel Retail, was a first-time exhibitor at SSME, claimed to be the only sweets, snacks and confectionery trade show in the Middle East and North Africa region. The new brand, launched in September, is exclusive to travel retail but took part in the trade fair to present its products to a wider audience “for marketing and research purposes”. As reported, Harison – positioned as “The People’s Brand” – was developed exclusively for the duty free and travel retail channel with an aim toward delivering additional growth to the confectionery category. Using “the best source for the right product”, Harison offers European domicile chocolates – from truffles to pralines – produced from the finest ingredients and recipes from their country of origin. Chocolates from Belgium, Italy and Switzerland will come under the Harison brand umbrella, with a strong focus on their provenance. This concept, according to Sweet Garden Travel Retail, has received positive feedback and wide acclaim by confectionery buyers at SSME and the TFWA World Exhibition. “This has been a great motivation for Harison to bring the best products to the travel retail industry,” said Sweet Garden Travel Retail Managing Director Shibu Thomas.

Sweet Garden Travel Retail marks official duty free launch of Harison

Harison UK has launched its premium Harison brand of chocolates exclusively into travel retail, marked by an official presentation to the trade in Dubai last week.

The global launch, which took place on 26 September at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, was attended by several leading travel retailers in the region – from Indonesia to India to the Maldives, and the Middle East – as well as The Moodie Report. The event was organised by Sweet Garden Travel Retail, which has been appointed by Harison UK as the exclusive travel retail distributor and marketing partner for the new brand.

Harison UK Ltd engaged in various business ventures and was considering a foray into the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector when it was acquired by Lord Brand UK Ltd in 2009. It now has its sights set on the confectionery category in travel retail, which has grown exponentially well over the past ten years.

Positioned as “The People’s Brand”, Harison was developed exclusively for the duty free and travel retail channel with an aim toward delivering additional growth to the confectionery category.

Harison Chocolates set for global travel retail launch in Dubai this month

Harison UK Ltd has announced that the global launch of Harison Chocolates will be held on 26 September at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Harison Chocolates are developed exclusively for the duty free industry, based on extensive research into travellers' purchasing traits and the concept of offering top quality products at value-for-money prices.
